Pavers

Pavers cover driveways, paths, courtyards and pool surrounds, and are made from concrete, clay brick or natural stone. They are laid on sand or mortar beds with joints between each unit, and face constant weather, foot traffic and, on driveways, vehicles.

Most pavers are porous, so oil, tyre marks, leaf and tannin stains, rust, mould and efflorescence are common. A penetrating or coating sealer helps reduce staining and can enhance colour, making regular cleaning easier. Clean with an outdoor-rated cleaner, and use dedicated treatments for efflorescence, rust and oil.
