Cleaned the haze off your new porcelain tiles and they still look cloudy? If the grout had a booster or latex additive mixed in, there are two things stuck to your tiles: cement and a thin plastic-like film. You need to remove them one at a time.
4 steps to clear tiles
Print it for the job: download the step-by-step A4 guide (PDF) with photos of every step.
What you'll need
Tiling soon? Skip the haze
Add 100 mL of Haze Away to a 4 L bucket of water for your last grout wipe-down. It helps reduce haze forming in the first place.
Quick answers
I scrubbed with acid and my tiles still look cloudy. Why?
Your grout probably had a booster or latex additive in it. That leaves a plastic-like film that acid can't dissolve. Aqua-Strip is made to lift it.
Is it safe to use these on porcelain?
Yes, porcelain and ceramic tiles handle both acid and alkaline cleaners. Test a small corner first, especially with dark grout or shiny tiles.
Can I mix OxiTreat+ and Aqua-Strip to save time?
No. Never mix them. Use one, rinse well with clean water, then use the next.
Do I need to seal afterwards?
Seal the grout once everything is clean and dry. If you used Strip-It, wait at least 48 hours first.
